Frequently Asked Questions
What are your qualifications and certifications?
Your facilitator holds a degree in music education from Berklee College of Music and is certified in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) through PESI, a non-profit continuing education organization for mental health professionals. Additional ongoing training toward certification as a psychedelic guide emphasizes ethics, safety, and best practices. Contemplative study and years of professional practice as a musician round out a multidisciplinary background in support of this work.
Do you provide psychedelic substances?
No. Authentic P.A.S.T. does not prescribe, provide, or sell any substances. The focus is on preparation, integration, and sound-centered support around experiences clients choose to pursue within legal and ethical frameworks.
Is this medical or psychotherapy?
Authentic P.A.S.T. is a complementary, harm reduction-focused practice and is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care. Clients are encouraged to maintain relationships with their existing healthcare providers.
What is sound therapy and ASMR-informed work?
Sound therapy uses carefully selected or live-created music and sound to support relaxation, emotional processing, and altered states of consciousness. ASMR-informed elements may include gentle, personalized sounds intended to evoke safety, presence, and memory access.
Is this safe for everyone?
Psychedelic-related work is not appropriate for all people or all stages of life. Intake and ongoing dialogue help assess fit and, when needed, guide you toward other forms of support.
Do you offer online or in-person sessions?
Authentic P.A.S.T. offers both virtual and in-person options, when available, to make this work as accessible and supportive as possible. The exact format is decided collaboratively during your initial consultation.
Do you work with individuals or groups?
Services may be offered one-on-one or in small groups, depending on your goals, comfort, and what is currently being offered. This flexibility allows the work to remain responsive to your needs.
